1. In a hot saucepan, add oil and sauté the onion and garlic over medium heat.
  2. Add tinned tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes, checking it regularly to ensure it doesn't burn.
  3. Bring sauce up to the boil in the last 5 minutes of cooking until most of the liquid has reduced.
  4. Reduce the heat down, add in cream and butter and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, into a pot of boiling salted water, add the pasta and cook as per packet directions.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, toss the pasta through the sauce and serve.
